What’s there?

Tucked away in an industrial estate on Knight Road, Strood, you will come across the beautiful 13th century Temple Manor. This wonderful old building was reopened in 2018 after a lengthy retoration project.

The manor house is set back from the road in a small mature garden, perfect for a picnic. Inside the building there are several rooms to explore, each with information about the history of the house and its previous occupants. The rooms have been left bare, but some have activities in to be completed by children and adults.

There are lot of steps throughout Temple Manor, including a spiral staircase and wooden steps outside (which can become slippery when wet).

Temple manor is only open on weekends between April and November, for more information on opening times please visit the English Heritage Website. Temple Manor often run children’s activities over the school holidays, look out for these on our Facebook Page.
