Autumn is all about muddy puddles, wellies and spectacular natural colours. At Shorne Woods Country Park you'll fnd it all. Explore and discover fungi, nuts and seeds in amoungst the woodland.

Bonkers for Conkers!

Sit in Victoria Gardens and enjoy a picnic looking over the Medway River. Play in the little park and then see if you can find some conkers. Just a few minutes walk from Chatham train station.

  • Temple Manor

    Strood, Rochester

    The remains of a 13th century manor house belonging to the Templar Knights sits on the banks of the Medway River, tucked away in an industrial estate. Learn about the house's history and the people who once stayed there.

  • Victoria Gardens

    Chatham

    Perched on top of Fort Pitt Hill, overlooking the bend in the Medway River, here you can spread out your picnic blanket, sit back and watch the busy goings on below you.

  • Jackson's Field

    Rochester

    This large green space set on the hill offers some lovely formal gardens, large well equiped children's play area, skate park and lots of space to play.

  • Trosley Country Park

    Vigo

    Sat high on the North Downs in Kent this beautiful park offers spectacular views from several spots around the park. There are trails for all abilities, a cafe, toilets and a small children's play area to enjoy.

  • Kent Firefighter's Museum

    West Kingsdown

    Tucked away at the back of Woodlands Garden Centre, the Kent Firefighters Museum displays lots of fascinating artefacts from firefighting history. With an old fire engine to play in the kids imaginations will be ignited.
