We have tried to find all the activities and events taking place across Kent in our fantastic country parks, museums and community spaces. Where there is a charge for the activity, or it needs booking we have tried to ensure this information has been included. Ranger Bear's Winter Quest
Bewl Water, TN3 8JH, throughout February. Help Ranger Bear find all his friends hidden around the trails of Bewl Water. Trail sheets are availble to collect from the Waterfront Cafe for free.

Sun Pier House Half Term Activities
Various activites taking place over half term with Sun Pier House in Chatham, ME4 4HF. Please note that these activites take place on the 1st and 2nd floors and there is no step free access. Booking required for half term events, please call 01634 401549.
Enchanted Forest Half-term Activities

Peter Rabbit Story time Adventure
The Beaney, Canterbury, CT1 2RA. 18th Feb - 16th April.
"Hop into this walkthrough experience, where visitors will be able to immerse themselves in The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Little bunnies will be able to crawl under the garden gate, hide in a watering can, and see their reflection in a mirror pool, just like Peter Rabbit! With photo opportunities and activities to take part in along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy this well-loved tale."

Super Hero Garden Trail
Hall Place and Gardens, Bexley, DA1PQ. From 1st - 28th February. Come along to the Gardens and see if you can find all the Super Heroes hiding in the hedgerows and borders. Small prize at the end, £2.50 per trail. Suitable for children 3 - 10 year, younger children will require more teamwork. Bring a pencil, or buy one from the shop for 50p.

from 12th - 20th February. Drop into the Visitors Centre and collect your trail sheets from 10am - 2pm daily, trail sheets are £3 per child with a small prize on completion.
February Heart Trail
Romney Marsh Visitors Centre, TN28 8AY 11th - 19th February. Explore the nature reserve by finding all the hearts on this self-led trail. If you find all the hearts and decipher the word (or words!) you can claim your prize for solving the puzzle. £4 per trail sheet.
February Heart Trail
Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and Jerrfery Harrison Centre, TN13 3DH 11th - 19th February. Explore the reserve and look out for the hearts, each will contain a letter clue that spells out a word (or two)! If you solve the puzzle you will win a fantastic prize. £4 per trail sheet.
Airfix Make and Take
RAF Museum, London, NW9 5LL (closest tube station is Colindale, 10 minute walk) 11th - 19th February. Come and build and paint an Airfix Model at the RAF museum. Kits are £2 each, suitable for children over 4 years old, younger children will need adult assistance. The museum is free to enter and explore. Sessions run at 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3:30pm. Riverside Country Park, Rainham, ME7 2XH various days. Riverside is offering several family activities over the half term holiday, see the poster for details. Usually £4 each.
Peace Doves
Rochester Cathedral, Rochester, ME1 1SX Opens 11th February Witness the Peace Doves by Peter Walker in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral this February. Be a part of the art by creating your own Peace Dove on 13th, 14th and 17th February (£1 each) adding your message of peace to the others adorning the ceiling.

Fairy Trail
Whitstable Castle, CT5 2BW 13th - 18th February, 11am - 3pm. Collect your £2 trail sheet from the Studio and see if you can find all the fairies hidden in the Castle gardens. Visit the Fairy Craft Workshop once you've found them all.
Saturday 11th February

Medway Light Nights
Chatham, various locations from 6pm - 9pm. Go on a light adventure through Chatham to celebrate the history and culture of the Medway towns. You'll see light installations, a lantern parade (6pm Friday 10th Feb) and live music from local artists.

Knights and Dragons, Family Crafts
Folkestone Museum, CT20 1DY 11am - 12:45pm, 1:30pm - 3:30pm. It's February Half-Term and we’re heading back to the days of yore and exploring medieval life. Today its all about knights and dragons; make a knight helmet or a flying dragon! The activities are free, but donations towards materials are welcomed (suggestion of £1 per child).

Valentine Biscuit Workshop
Macknade, Faversham, ME13 8XF. 10 am - 12 noon, Join Eat & Mess at Macknade to decorate heart shaped bisuits for Valentine's Day. No need to book, just come and join in from 10 - 12 noon. The workshop is suitable for 3 - 12 years and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Winter Wildlife Guided Walk and Talk
Oare Marshes, ME13 0QA (what3words: roughness.herring.watching) 2pm - 3pm. Join the rangers for an hour long walk and talk taking in the winter wildlife on the nature reserve around Oare Marshes. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the waether conditions.

Build a Bird Box
Lullingstone Country Park, Eynsford, DA4 0JF from 1pm - 3pm. "It's National Bird Box Week! Natural bird nesting sites are in decline. Come and join us to build a cosy home and a bird feeder using recycled materials for your feathered friends. Together we can make a difference for local birds. You can put together a nest box kit and decorate it to take home. Receive expert guidance on where to hang it. Materials and bird seed will be available to make bird feeders. All equipment and tools will be provided. One nest box kit per child and hot chocolate available for accompanying adults. Normal parking fees apply.include Event tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable." This activity is £3 per adult and £12 per child.

Guided Winter Walk and Talk
Pegwell Bay Country Park, CT12 5JB 2pm - 3pm. Learn more about how you can help to protect our vulnerable migrant birds and seal communities, grab a free spotter sheet or come and get arty with some natural crafts. Discover the wonderful bird and marine life that relies on these protected areas through the Winter. Adults and children will enjoy looking out for important winter waders, birds of prey and even our local seals and their newly born pups. Stop by between 10.30am-2.30pm to chat to the wardens about our coastal reserves or try a free spotter sheet and some craft activities to enjoy on your own walk.

Maidstone Museum, ME14 1LH. 3 sessions a day; 10:30, 12, 1:30 pm. Make a Green Man from Clay in Tuesday's session. £3 per child, sessions should take between 30 - 50 minutes to complete. An adult must remain with the young people whilst doing the activity. Ideal for ages 4 - 11 years.

Romney marsh Visitors Centre, TN28 8AY from 11am - 1pm. At this workshop you will hear about which foods will attract which birds, and see if you can spot any during a walk around the grounds. Children will then make bird feeders from recycled materials to take home with them, as well as making a tasty bird food cake for feathered friends to enjoy. Please note that the bird food will contain nuts, wheat and other allergens, and this activity is not suitable for children under 4 years. Booking is essential, children £7 or family (upto 3 children) £18.

Riverside Country Park, Rainham, ME7 2XH 1pm - 3pm. Join the rangers of a walk around the site to be introduced to the overwintering wildlife that make the country park its home. Birds and the Bees
Capstone Farm Country Park, Chatham, ME7 3JE, 10am - 12noon OR 1pm - 3pm Help the birds and bees this Valentines Day by making bird feeders and bee houses using reclaimed materials. Family Trail and Crafts with Anna Outdoors
Teers Meadow, Harrietsham, ME17 1AX, 10am - 12noon. Join Anna Outdoors to find out about the wildlife of Teers Meadow by taking part in the self-led trail. Receive a Teers Meadow medal (decorated wooden disc), and make some creative crafts inspired by nature to take home.Look out for the Anna Outdoors flag flying in the field behind the Church.

Lords and Ladies Family Crafts
Folkestone Museum, CT20 1CY 11am - 12:45 OR 1:30pm - 3:30pm. It's February Half-Term and we’re heading back to the days of yore and exploring medieval life. Today its all about dressing up, if you don’t know what a hennin is, this is where you’ll learn about them and make one, its a kind of hat! This activity is free, but donations towards material of £1 per child are welcomed.

Fossil Friday - Fossil Identification Day
Maidstone Museum, ME14 1LH. 10 am - 3 pm. If you have a mystery fossil, bring it along to Maidstone Museum and their fossil expert Tony will help you identify it! Tony will be in the dino gallery from 10 - 3 pm, with a short break for lunch.
Bird spotting BINGO! with Green Gang
Fort Burgoyne, Dover, CT15 5FN, from 10am. Join the rangers at Fort Burgoyne to get a full house of birds as you walk around the site, find common birds and some of the winter visitors too.

Come and make some British birds to hang in your home and see if you can spot the real ones arriving in your garden as the weather warms!
